The March of the Old Gods
Alyanthyr is the only Elven city within the Sorcwyll Forest. Built within the branches of the great Fal’ohn trees above the great lake Cormanthyr, Alyanthyr appears to have been grown, rather than built. All of the buildings are meticulously built so that they appear to be an extension of the tree, rather than made from it.
The Elven schools of magic call the city of Alyanthyr home, with several colleges dedicated to each school of magic. The Elves also have many master craftsmen and smiths, and rumors persist of those with the mythical ability to weave magic into their creations and make them do truly wonderful, or terrifying, things.
The city of Alyanthyr also exports timber. Whenever a tree falls down due to age or heavy storms, the Elves will saw it into planks, and send them up the Lannoch and out to Corvos and Amarith. In addition to timber, Elven craftsmen also send their works up the Lannoch with the timber barges, and come back with Corvani wines and Amarith Tapestries and cloth.
